Who and what is the Perrysburg Soccer Club?
-
Competitive soccer for boys and girls ages 7 and up.
(birthday after 7/31/02)
- The club's
objective is to provide as many opportunities as
possible for teams at each age group, both boys and
girls.
- Teams are made up
of primarily Perrysburg residents, but can be from
outside the area.
- Coaches hold
appropriate licensure; have a soccer background
through previous coaching experience, and playing
experience.
What is the club philosophy?
-
To
develop each player with the fundamentals, knowledge,
team play, and enjoyment, to play multiple positions,
and continue on at the high school level or beyond, if
desired.
- Focus on player
development at early ages to master the fundamentals
of ball control, dribbling, passing, shooting, and
then the tactical side of the game. Winning then
becomes the result and not the objective.
- Playing time is
based on a combination of individual ability, effort,
dedication, desire, along with team need and other
factors as determined by the coaches.
What can the club offer?
-
Exposure to top-level coaches and players around
Northwest Ohio and beyond.
- Goalkeeping and
foot skill clinics.
- Team camps.
- Player and coach
development opportunities.
